Your Excellencies Esteemed Lagos State Government, Governors of the 36 States, and Chairpersons of the 774 Local Government Areas, 240 million Nigerians are writing to express a deep and urgent concern shared by millions of Nigerians across the country. For decades, over 240 million Nigerians have struggled under the weight of continuous rent payments, rising housing costs, and limited access to affordable land and home ownership. Meanwhile, political office holders at federal, state, and local levels continue to enjoy rent-free accommodation, free electricity, free data, and other publicly funded benefits.

This message is not written in disrespect. It is a direct appeal for fairness, justice, and meaningful action now 5/27/2026

Nigeria is a nation blessed with vast land, abundant natural resources, and significant oil and gas wealth. Yet millions of Nigerians remain in poverty, without stable housing, and without the basic infrastructure needed to live with dignity. This contradiction has persisted for far too long for decades

We respectfully demand the following:

An end to the cycle of lifelong rent payments for 240 million Nigerians.

Government-supported housing programs that provide free or truly affordable homes for all Nigerians

Policies that allow Nigerians to farm on available land to achieve food sufficiency and economic independence.

Transparent accounting of oil and gas revenues and how they are used to improve Nigerians lives.

A national housing initiative that prioritizes the needs of 240 million Nigerian over political privileges.

Addressing housing, food security, and employment is essential to tackling the root causes of insecurity, including the rise of extremist groups. When Nigerians have homes, jobs, and access to farmland, communities become stronger, safer, and more resilient.

Nigerians are tired of decades of slogans, promises, and unfulfilled commitments. We are asking for real, structural change that reflects the seriousness of the challenges we face.

Respectfully we urge President Tinubu and all levels of government to take immediate action to implement these reforms and demonstrate genuine commitment to the well-being of every 240 million Nigerians in the 36 states 774 LGA

Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.
