Today is Children’s Day, but for many Nigerian children, it is a day marked by fear, hardship, and uncertainty.

From the Oyo School Kidnapping to overcrowded IDP camps, thousands of children are growing up surrounded by insecurity instead of hope.

Many are forced into hawking on the streets instead of sitting in classrooms. Many sleep hungry, displaced by violence, with no access to proper education, healthcare, or safety.

A nation’s future is reflected in how it treats its children. Sadly, too many Nigerian children are fighting battles they should never have to face.

Children deserve protection, education, peace, and the freedom to dream and not fear, poverty, and survival.”
