"In a judgment on Tuesday, Justice James Omotosho said the 2027 election timetable, issued by INEC, stating the timeframe within which political parties are to hold their primaries and the timeframe for the submission of membership registers of political parties, “is valid and legally issued.”

The judgment was on a suit, marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/720/2026, filed by the Social Democratic Party (SDP), with INEC listed as th sole defendant."
