What happened in Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha Federal Constituency is a clear reflection of the voice of the people.

A candidate who moved mysteriously from single digits during counting to suddenly recording 70s, 80s and eventually over 400 votes cannot expect the masses to stay silent. Democracy must reflect the will of the people, not manipulation.

Today, after being announced winner, Ramatu Sali Bello went out to “thank the people,” but the crowd responded loudly with one united message: “Bamu yi!” — “We reject this!”

The people of Adamawa are politically aware and cannot be forced to accept what they do not believe in. The chants across the streets speak louder than any announcement.

This is not about hatred or personal attacks. It is about fairness, credibility and respect for the democratic process. The voices of the people must be heard and respected.
