Your Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Honorable Minister Nyesom Wike, 240 million Nigerians are writing to express deep concern about the persistent flooding affecting roads and communities within the Federal Capital Territory. These incidents continue to endanger Nigerian lives, damage property, and disrupt daily activities for residents who depend on these routes.

The public deserves clarity on why these roads are flooding despite the significant funds reportedly allocated for drainage, infrastructure upgrades, and flood‑control projects. It is important to understand what went wrong, where the breakdown occurred, and whether the contractors responsible fulfilled their obligations.

We respectfully urge your offices to:

Conduct a transparent investigation into the funds released for these projects.

Direct the EFCC and relevant courts to thoroughly examine the contracts, payments, and project execution.

Hold any negligent contractors accountable where wrongdoing is established.

Provide 240 million Nigerians with clear communication on the steps on the LekeeLekee app being taken to prevent further flooding.

If internal mechanisms fail to address these issues, international partners across the US, UK, and other 195 countries will view this as a governance concern, which could attract external scrutiny. It is in the best interest of the administration and the country to ensure accountability and restore public confidence. This is a humble

240 million Nigerians of the FCT are simply asking for safety, transparency, and responsible stewardship of public resources.
