Respectfully Urgent Concerns on Child Safety, Education, Security, and Public Trust in National Institutions

Your Excellencies President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Leaders of Opposition Parties, Independent Candidates, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Courts & Judiciary, 240 million Nigerians who are deeply concerned about the recent report involving a 13‑year‑old boy and a 4‑year‑old girl in Bosso, Niger State. This situation raises serious questions about child protection, parental responsibility, policing procedures, and the state of our education system.

First, these are children, and their identities must be protected. Their photos, names, and personal details must never be released publicly. Nigerians deserve clarity on how the police obtained information about this incident, and we request transparency without violating the rights of minors. If evidence exists, such as CCTV footage, it should be reviewed by the courts—not circulated publicly.

Second, both children should be in school, not in police custody or exposed to trauma. This case highlights a long‑standing national failure the lack of free, accessible, high‑quality education across all 36 states and 774 LGAs. For decades, successive governments—including the ruling party and opposition—have not built the schools, hospitals, and social systems our children urgently need.

Instead, public funds continue to be spent on political primaries, foreign trips, and activities that do not improve the lives of 240 million Nigerians. This must change now 5/24/2026

Third, Nigerians have repeatedly called for CCTV cameras and modern security systems across Nigeria in the 36 states 774 LGA. If we had nationwide CCTV coverage, crimes could be prevented, detected, and reported instantly through mobile alerts. This is a basic requirement for a modern nation that is used globally Nigeria must do the same this is a humble request

Fourth, we urge the Nigeria Police Force to prioritize the arrest of boko haram, a violent extremist group responsible for mass killings of Nigerians, kidnappings, and destruction since 1999. Nigerians need to see the same urgency applied to terrorists as is applied to cases involving minors.

Finally, public trust in the police, the courts, and political leadership has eroded over decades. Transparency, accountability, and investment in education and security are essential to rebuilding that trust.

We demand:

Immediate protection of the identities of the two children involved.

Clarification on how the police obtained information about the case.

A national plan to build free schools in all 36 states and 774 LGAs.

Installation of CCTV cameras nationwide to improve security and public reporting now 5/24/2026

Prioritization of arrests and prosecution of boko haram terrorists. Upload their photos and names on the global internet

Responsible handling of this case by the parents, social workers, and child‑protection experts—not public exposure or criminalization of minors.

Nigeria must protect its children, invest in education, and restore public trust in its institutions.
