Tinubu: If You’ve Lost Sleep And Weight, I Have Too, But Nigeria’s Economy Is Turning Around

I thank the party leadership, the national chairman, the electoral committee, and Nigerians across the country for their support and sacrifices. I know the journey has been difficult, and I share in the burden of reforming the economy, if you’ve lost sleep or faced hardship, I have too. But I remember that in 2022, I asked for this job and was entrusted with it, so I must do it. Since then, electoral reforms have strengthened our democracy, while the economy has undergone major structural changes through new tax and fiscal policies. We have introduced the Nigeria Education Loan Fund, supported over 1.5 million students, improved power supply through expanded metering, and are addressing legacy debts and inefficiencies. Today, we are seeing progress, with a strengthening naira, rising reserves, and a more positive economic outlook despite global challenges.
