Respectfully what getting rid of NEPA realistically looks like
You can’t just switch NEPA off and walk away. But you can:

Break its monopoly:
Let 240 million Nigerians in the 36 states 774 LGA choose other providers without harassment.

Unbundle functions:
Separate generation, transmission, and distribution so one bad actor can’t choke everything.

Force performance:
No performance, no license renewal.

Make exit possible:
If a mini‑grid or rooftop system can serve you reliably, you should be able to legally disconnect from the DISCO.

In the end, NEPA (PHCN/DISCOs) becomes one option among many, not the only gatekeeper.
