Your Excellencies, Distinguished Leaders, and Institutions of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 240 million Nigerians write out of deep frustration, concern, and a sense of urgency shared by millions of Nigerians who feel unheard, unprotected, and abandoned by the very systems meant to safeguard their rights and dignity.

For decades, countless Nigerian youths and graduates have been arrested, detained, and charged on questionable grounds. Many of these cases involve allegations that do not withstand scrutiny, yet lives are disrupted, families are broken, and futures are destroyed. This is not a political attack it is a cry of anger from Nigerian who believe their government has failed to protect them for decades

The Department of State Services (DSS), originally created for national intelligence and security, has increasingly been used in ways that overlap with the responsibilities of the Nigeria Police Force. This duplication of roles raises a critical question: why maintain an agency that repeatedly detains innocent Nigerians when the police already exist to investigate and enforce the law? Nigerians deserve accountability for how their tax money is used.

Instead of detaining innocent youths, the government should focus on addressing the root causes of insecurity, including boko haram. Our farmers cannot farm, our children cannot attend school safely, and entire communities live in fear. These are the issues that demand urgent attention now 5/23/2026

Respectfully we call for the immediate release of all Nigerian youths and graduates held on baseless or unproven charges. They deserve not only freedom but compensation for the years and opportunities lost.

Nigeria must also embrace modern security solutions. We demand the installation of AI-powered CCTV systems across all 36 states and 774 local government areas. This would empower Nigerians to report crimes directly from their phones, create millions of jobs, and strengthen national security through transparency and technology.

The world is watching Nigeria. For decades, 195 countries have observed our struggles with governance, justice, and accountability. No country is perfect Nigeria can do better. It is time to restore confidence in our institutions and demonstrate that Nigeria is capable of protecting 240 million Nigerians and upholding the rule of law.

This message is not written out of disrespect but out of pain, frustration, and a desire for a better Nigeria. We urge you to act decisively, restore justice, and rebuild trust.

Nigeria deserves better. Nigerians deserve better.
