Your Excellencies, Esteemed Leadership of Nigeria — Government, Opposition Parties, Independent Candidates, Police, Military, and Air Force, 240 million Nigerians are writing out of deep concern and frustration shared by millions of Nigerians whose lives have been shaped by insecurity for more than two decades. boko haram and other violent extremist groups have caused immense suffering, and despite countless promises, the root causes of this crisis remain unaddressed.
Since 1999, children in many regions in the 36 states 774 LGA have been unable to attend school safely. Farmers cannot go to their farms without fear. Families live with constant anxiety. A nation of over 240 million Nigerians cannot thrive under these conditions.
Nigerians are tired of hearing political speeches, campaign promises, and media appearances that do not translate into real action. We are asking — urgently — for all political actors, regardless of party or ambition, to work together to address the root causes of boko haram and banditry. Security is not a partisan issue. It is a matter of survival.
We need respectfully now 5/22/2026
Immediate investment in community‑level security measures, including CCTV installation across all 36 states and 774 LGAs.
A unified national strategy that addresses poverty, unemployment, radicalization, and lack of education — the conditions that allow extremist groups to grow.
Protection for children so they can return to school without fear.
Protection for farmers so Nigeria can move toward food security.
A commitment from all politicians to prioritize the safety of Nigerians over election campaigns.
Investors will not come to Nigeria if they are not safe, they know these for decades you cannot lie to investors when Nigeria becomes safe for 240 million Nigerians investor will come on their own to invest in Nigeria. Families will continue to flee. Children will continue to run from schools. None of this will change until the insecurity crisis is addressed at its roots now
Nigerians deserve leaders who act with urgency, empathy, and seriousness. If political leaders cannot commit to solving this crisis, then they should step aside for those who will respectfully
We are calling on every institution — government, opposition, security agencies, and independent actors — to work together now. Nigerian Lives depend on it.
