A patient was referred from CHOP to Dietetics clinic for dietary counseling, a baby of 8 months who is underweight.

The patient mum is a bit disabled
As l was clerking to get information about the patient, then I asked the mum if she did exclusive breastfeeding?

She responded No, she gave formula until 6 months, then I asked if there's any reason why she didn't breastfeed at all...

She said she has breast cancer, ike agwum 🥹🥹🥹 but I had to put myself together.

How can someone be disabled and still face such terrible sickness.

I'm not saying there are people that the sickness fits more though.

But my happiness is that this lady didn't allow her condition to define her.

She is strong willed and fully there for her child.

I counselled her and they left.

Life can be unfair atimes.
