Your Excellencies and Distinguished Leaders, President Tinubu, Opposition parties, independent candidates. 240 million Nigerians are
writing to express deep concern shared by millions of Nigerians regarding the persistent lack of electricity meters, the continued financial burden on 240 million Nigerians, and the broader issues of transparency, accountability, and national security.
For decades, Nigerians have paid for electricity, data, and basic services while still living in darkness and poverty. The promise of free meters for all households has not been fulfilled. We ask clearly where is the money allocated for these meters, and where are the meters themselves?
We urge the ministry of power, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, and all relevant agencies to conduct a full audit, publish the findings, and hold accountable anyone responsible for mismanagement or diversion of funds. Agencies such as the EFCC, DSS, and the courts must take decisive action to recover stolen assets, seize illicit wealth, and ensure justice is served.
Nigeria’s future depends on transparency and the rule of law. Funds recovered from corruption cases should be used to reduce Nigerian debt, invest in agriculture, and address the root causes of insecurity, including the conditions that fuel boko haram. These issues cannot be solved by political division. Respectfully we call on the President, the minister of power, opposition parties, and independent leaders to work together in the national interest of 240 million Nigerians if you are serious
Nigerians are globally respected for excellence in education, sports, and culture. It is time for our institutions to reflect that same integrity. We ask for urgent, coordinated action to restore public trust and deliver the basic services to 240 million Nigerians have been promised for decades which are lies/slogans we need visible progress now 5/22/2026
