It is deeply heartbreaking that while many Nigerians are crying over insecurity, kidnappings, and the torture of innocent citizens, the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC seem more focused on re-election campaigns and political strategies.
Families are living in fear. People are being abducted daily, tortured by kidnappers, and forced to pay huge ransoms just to stay alive. Yet, instead of seeing urgent and decisive action to protect lives, what Nigerians mostly hear are political speeches and preparations for the next election.
What is the true essence of governance if the safety and welfare of the people are no longer the top priority? Leadership should be about protecting citizens, restoring hope, and solving national problems — not endless politics while the people suffer.
Nigeria is bleeding. Hunger, insecurity, unemployment, and frustration are increasing every day. This is not the time for political distractions; this is the time for serious leadership, compassion, and action.
The lives of Nigerians matter more than political ambition. History will remember those who chose power over the pain of the people.
What a shame!
