On Alonso:

"I'm told it'll be a more meaningful role. He's not going to be handed the keys, but he will be very much an equal partner.

He won't be sort of below the sporting directors, he will be on a par with them, which I don't think in reality, the other head coaches, I think they have been a level down from the sporting director, so that's a big change.

I also just think the title of manager sends a really strong message to the dressing room as well about who's actually in charge, you know, the title itself says it all."
