Respectfully to the 240 million Nigerians, we write to you today out of deep concern for the direction of our beloved nation. Nigeria belongs to all of us, not to any single family, dynasty, or individual who believes leadership is a personal inheritance.

We have seen examples across the continent of how power can be abused when a nation allows one family to treat a country like private property. Recently, a public statement from Uganda highlighted how a leader’s son claimed he had the authority to arrest anyone except the President and First Lady. This is the danger of unchecked power — it slowly shifts from public service to personal control.

Nigeria must never walk that path.

We do not need a president who behaves like a tyrant, nor a system where sons, relatives, and associates govern Nigeria as though it were their personal company. Our democracy is too important, and our future too valuable, to be traded for temporary gifts or short‑term incentives.

My fellow Nigerians, do not sell your vote for rice, beans, or any token. Your vote is your power. It is the voice of your children and the future you want for them. Once given away cheaply, it cannot be reclaimed.

Nigeria stands at a crossroads. The choice is yours — to protect our democracy, to defend our dignity, and to vote with courage and conscience.

Let us choose a future where leadership is earned, not inherited. A future where power serves the 240 million Nigerians, not the other way around.

May we stand together for a Nigeria that works for all 240 million Nigerians and not for corrupt politicians
