Milly Alcock covers the latest issue of Variety, photographed by Nino Muñoz.
She played Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in HBO’s “House of the Dragon" and is currently promoting the upcoming film "Supergirl", where she plays the titular character Kara Zor-El, which debuted on the "Superman" 2025 film.
Milly Alcock said her “Supergirl” character Kara finds a new sense of purpose after meeting Ruthye, who’s also endured tragedy and is seeking revenge against the bandit Krem of the Yellow Hills (Matthias Schoenaerts) for killing her family.
“Through helping save this young girl and deal with her trauma from losing her entire family, there’s a kinship there,” Alcock says. “She realizes that being Supergirl has nothing to do with her and has to do with everybody else around her. She needs to put her own feelings aside to help others, and through that she can save herself. So that’s what the suit is for her.”
