RIVERS GOV FUBARA WITHDRAWS FROM APC GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARY

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has withdrawn from the APC governorship primary ahead of the election on Thursday.

In a statement on Wednesday, Governor Fubara said the decision followed wide consultations and was taken in the interest of peace, unity, and stability in Rivers State.

The governor said personal ambition must sometimes give way for the greater good, adding that his withdrawal was an act of sacrifice and conviction, not fear or weakness.

He thanked supporters, the All Progressives Congress, and President Bola Tinubu for their support, while urging party members to remain united ahead of the election.
