Olufunmilola Adebowale, Head of Research at PARTHIAN PARTNERS, predicted that the best decision for the Monetary Policy Committee is to maintain the status quo and monitor how it will impact inflation going forward.

After the 305th CBN MPC meeting held on May 19th and 20th, the Committee maintained the following decisions:

· Retained the MPR at 26.50%.
· Retained the Asymmetric corridor at +50/-450 around the MPR.
· Retained the Commercial banks’ Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) at 45.00%
· Retained the CRR of Merchant Bank at 16%, and the non-TSA public sector at 75%
· Retained the liquidity ratio at 30.00%.
