Aliko Dangote says the planned listing of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery on the Nigerian Exchange will democratise wealth creation and give Africans direct access to industrial growth and infrastructure investment. Speaking during a visit by South African institutional investors, he said Africa’s economic future must be driven by large-scale industrial projects capable of creating jobs, boosting production and expanding prosperity.
The delegation from GEPF and PIC described the refinery as proof of Africa’s capacity for world-class industrialisation, while expressing interest in long-term partnerships. Dangote also confirmed preliminary work on the Olokola Deep Seaport, a multi-billion-dollar project spanning Ogun and Ondo states, designed to boost exports, logistics and regional trade under AfCFTA.
The initiative highlights rising investor confidence in Africa-led industrialisation and long-term infrastructure development.
