Respectfully what would it actually look like if Ogun State owned its digital future instead of just consuming it. Nigerian-powered telecom plan for Ogun and the 36 states 774 LGA —not fantasy, but something a smart government could actually execute if they are serious

Core vision & goal:
Ogun State builds a state-led, Nigerian-powered digital backbone so that:

Every 774 LGA 36 states has reliable broadband

240 million Nigerian youths can work, learn, and build startups from anywhere

The Nigerian government is not dependent on foreign-owned telcos for critical infrastructure
Respectfully make it free for 240 million Nigerians in the 36 states 774 LGA

Backbone: fiber + data centers (state + Nigerian companies)
Key move:
Ogun and the 36 states 774 LGA don’t need to become MTN. It needs to own the roads of the internet, not the SIM cards.

Expand the Ogun and 36 states 774 LGA digital economy infrastructure project

Lay state-owned fiber across all 774 LGAs 36 states no lies, no slogans we demand visible progress. This is a humble request

Partner with Nigerian tech firms like 21st Century Technologies, Tizeti to:

Build/expand local data centers in Abeokuta and key hubs in all the 36 states 774 LGA

Host Ogun government services, schools, and SMEs locally

Result:
Ogun owns the pipes; Nigerian companies run the services.

Access layer: OgunNet (state-backed, Nigerian-run ISP)
Create a state-backed virtual ISP:

Name it something like “OgunNet”

OgunNet doesn’t build towers from scratch—it:

Leases capacity from Glo, Tizeti, Spectranet, Smile

Uses the state fiber as backhaul

Use Nigerian companies:

Respectfully Ogun state 36 states 774 LGA can stop being dependent and start being in control.

A serious Nigerian government, opposition parties, independent candidates can work together telecom plan would:

Use Nigerian companies

Keep infrastructure ownership local

Give 240 million Nigerian youths and graduates real tools + real opportunities
