Your Excellencies and Distinguished Leaders, 240 million Nigerians are
writing to you out of deep concern for the ongoing killings across Nigeria. The violence has continued for far too long, affecting both Christians and Muslims alike. boko haram and other extremist groups—responsible for severe harm, loss of life, and human rights violations—have been attacking Nigerians since the late 1990s, and the situation in 2026 remains dire.

At a time when 240 million Nigerians are living in fear, it is troubling to see so much political energy focused on the 2027 election. Nigerians need safety now. Families need stability now. Farmers must be able to return to their land so that the country can regain food security. Communities need peace so that life can move forward.

We respectfully urge President Tinubu, opposition parties, and independent candidates to set aside political differences and work together immediately now respectfully. The priority must be to stop the killings and address the root causes of boko haram’s violence—poverty, unemployment, lack of education, weak local security structures, and the absence of long-term development in affected regions.

The Nigerian people deserve decisive action. They deserve leaders who will protect them, not only prepare for future elections. The government must take the necessary steps now to restore security, rebuild trust, and ensure that every Nigerian—regardless of religion or region—can live without fear.

240 million Nigerians cannot afford further delay. Lives are at stake, and history will remember the choices made in this moment.

Respectfully,
240 million concerned Nigerians suffering in hardship poverty & darkness
