Nigerian global music icons Wizkid, Tems, Asake and Burna Boy have earned nominations for the 2026 BET Awards 🏆.

Tems stands out as one of the most nominated African artists, earning three nominations: Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, the BET Her Award for her song “First,” and a Viewers’ Choice nomination for “Raindance,” her collaboration with Dave.

Wizkid and Asake secured a joint nomination in the Best Group category. They are the first contemporary African act to earn a nod in this category, following the massive success of their joint project "REAL, Vol. 1".

Burna Boy was nominated in the Best Collaboration category for “WGFT,” his feature on Gunna’s track.

The 2026 BET Awards will take place on Sunday, June 28, 2026, airing live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The event will be hosted by comedian Druski.
