Southampton have been expelled from the Championship playoffs and receive a four-point deduction next season following the 'spygate' scandal.

Two weeks ago, Middlesbrough filed a complaint over a Southampton staff member spying on their training session before the first leg of their semifinal playoff.

Middlesbrough will now face Hull City in the playoff final.
