Enzo Maresca has agreed a three-year contract at Man City, with a compensation package being finalised. The matter is set to be resolved before he starts, although Chelsea will explore legal options if an agreement isn't reached.

Chelsea insiders feel that Maresca left Chelsea with Man City in head while Behdad Eghbali hinted the reasons why Maresca left 'will become kind of clear in due course'.

Yet sources insist that Maresca was not promised the Manchester City job last year.
