The Senate now looks like a retirement home for former governors.

Once their tenure ends, the red chamber opens its doors like a luxury lodge with official cars, microphones, and endless committee meetings.

Maybe it is time to stop calling it the Senate and rename it “Association of Retired Governors and Distinguished Elders.”

Because every election season, governors don’t seem to retire from politics. They only change office furniture.

Nigeria watches like a landlord whose tenants never move out.
