Corruption in elections is rarely caused by one person alone. It becomes a chain where different people play different roles, and each action weakens democracy in its own way.

* A candidate who plans to rig elections abuses power and ambition.
* An electoral official who abandons neutrality betrays public trust.
* A judge who accepts bribes damages justice itself.
* People who destroy ballots attack the voice of citizens.
* Voters who sell votes for money or palliatives also contribute to bad leadership, even if poverty pushes them into it.
