Your Excellencies, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Leaders of Opposition Parties, Independent Candidates, 240 million Nigerians are writing to express deep concern shared by many Nigerians about the direction of our national priorities at a time when citizens are facing severe insecurity, poverty, and economic hardship.

Nigerians are troubled by the continued spending of public funds on large political rallies, interstate campaign tours, and crowd‑mobilization efforts. These activities consume significant resources while offering little benefit to the 240 million Nigerians whose taxes fund them. Many believe these funds would be better used to address urgent national challenges.

The persistent insecurity—especially the ongoing threat of boko haram and other violent groups—continues to claim innocent Nigerian lives. Nigerians have been calling for decades for leaders to address the root causes of extremism: poverty, unemployment, lack of education, and weak local economies. Yet these issues remain unresolved.

We urge you to prioritize respectfully

Redirecting public funds from political campaigning toward strengthening national security.

Investing heavily in agriculture and farming to create sustainable jobs for millions of young Nigerians.

Addressing poverty and unemployment at their roots rather than offering temporary relief or fake campaign promises.

Ensuring transparency and accountability in political financing.

Empowering institutions such as the EFCC and the courts to investigate and prosecute corruption without interference.

Nigerians are tired of repeated promises that never materialize. Claims that 240 million Nigerian youths will become millionaires in the future ring hollow when Nigerians continue to live in poverty today. The world is watching how Nigeria’s leaders respond to these long‑standing issues. Kindly do the needful this is a humble request

We ask for immediate action, not future slogans. If leaders are unwilling to prioritize the safety, dignity, and prosperity of the 240 million Nigerians they serve, then it is only fair that they step aside for those who will respectfully
