⚽🎉 Wonderful news: In a remarkable gesture, the legendary DR Congo fan Michel Nkuka Mboladinga, known worldwide as “Lumumba”, has been included in the country's official World Cup delegation and granted a visa to be able to attend the #WorldCup2026 matches in Houston and support his country in the world stage 🇨🇩

He will be fully catered for with flights, accommodations, match tickets and all expenses covered.

The request made by the DR Congo players and approved by President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, has been granted.

Since 2013, Mboladinga has stood motionless throughout games, mimicking the posture of the Patrice Lumumba statue in Kinshasa. He gained international media attention during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where he truly gained the global spotlight, cementing his status among fans across Africa and the world.
