A terrible trend has taken shape under the current EFCC Chairman Pastor Ola Olukoyede in the manner his operatives conduct themselves: which is that they occasionally conduct themselves in the most unprofessional, bizarre and even gangster-like style.
They're either raiding a nightclub stripping and groping ladies or startling university students out of sleep and herding them to their office.
In fact in one of such dead-in-the-night operations in the S/East they lost an operative.

How can such a high profile anti-corruption agency invade a teaching hospital ostensibly to authenticate a document but end up, in a commando-style, rough handling a senior professor and even releasing teargas in such a sensitive environment? A hospital, that even in a war time is globally recognized as a sacred place of refuge for the afflicted and spared from invasion and attack by both sides being teargassed?
How does the EFCC Chairman explain away this roughish conduct of his operatives to multilateral security agencies and other international organizations it partners with?

I remember that on at least one occasion he publicly ordered the discontinuation of night raids but soon after the night raids resumed. Has he lost control; or perhaps was never really in control of the organization he heads?
The earlier he takes charge the better for his image, that of the EFCC and the country at large.

Comfort Yako Asala: The decay in these organisations is beyond what meets the eyes.
