They told us luxury was magic.

Turns out:
same factories,
same supply chains,
same cheap labour,
same materials.

One shirt: £40.
Another: £400.

Difference?
Story.
Status.
Scarcity.
Perception.

The internet destroyed many old illusions.

Now we see:

banks are mostly trust systems,
corporations improvise too,
politicians are ordinary people in expensive suits,
celebrities have PR teams manufacturing “authenticity”,
luxury brands mastered psychology more than fabric.

This generation is watching the collapse of mystique in real time.

But here’s the funny thing:

Even after people discover the trick…
many still buy the illusion.

Because humans don’t only buy products.

We buy identity.
We buy belonging.
We buy symbols.

The future belongs to systems that can survive transparency.

Not systems built only on mystery.
