Years ago, many people probably thought Dangote was “doing too much” by building a refinery in Nigeria.

The project took years.
There were delays, criticism, policy battles, and huge financial risks.

But while others focused on quick profits, he focused on building an asset that could outlive trends.

That’s one lesson I’m learning about wealth building in Nigeria today:

Real wealth is usually built slowly through ownership, patience, and long-term thinking.

A lot of people want quick cash.
Few people want to build something difficult that compounds for years.
