Two young brothers explore Lagos with their estranged father during the 1993 Nigerian election crisis, witnessing both the city's magnitude and their father's daily struggles as political unrest threatens their journey home.

The film made history as the first Nigerian film to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and received the Caméra d'Or Special Mention. It was critically acclaimed, receiving a BAFTA Award for Outstanding Debut, a British Independent Film Award and two Gotham Independent Film Award. It also dominated the 2026 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (#AMVCA), taking home five major awards, including Best Movie, Best Director (Akinola Davies Jr.), Best Writing in a Movie, Best Score/Music, and Best Sound Design.
