Your Excellencies Esteemed Opposition Leaders and Independent Candidates, 240 million Nigerians are writing to express deep concerns shared by many Nigerians regarding the federal spending decisions, particularly the reported N10 billion Aso Rock solar power project at a time when the national grid continues to fail and 240 million Nigerians remain without reliable electricity.

240 million Nigerians are asking where this money is coming from when Nigeria has carried heavy debt burdens for decades. Many feel that public funds are being used to provide comfort for those in power while over 240 million Nigerians continue to pay high electricity bills yet remain in darkness.

For decades, Nigerians have clearly stated their demands: reliable power, security, jobs, and investment in agriculture and local economies. Many believe these priorities are not being addressed, and that leaders are not listening to 240 million Nigerians they serve.

There is also growing frustration that the federal government appears unwilling to work collaboratively with the 36 state governments and 774 local government areas to address the root causes of insecurity, including boko haram. 240 million Nigerians are calling for urgent, coordinated action rather than political division.

Nigerians are demanding job creation, agricultural investment, and an end to political infighting over public funds. There is a strong call for the EFCC to investigate all cases of alleged misappropriation of public money. If individuals are found guilty, citizens expect full accountability, including recovery of assets and appropriate legal consequences.

The public is losing patience with corruption and lack of transparency. Nigerians want leaders who prioritize national development over personal gain and who are willing to work together to build a safer, more prosperous country.

We urge you to take these concerns seriously and to demonstrate through action—not words—that you are committed to the wellbeing of all 240 million Nigerians.
