Your Excellencies, Esteemed Opposition Leaders and Independent Candidates, 240 million Nigerians are writing as a Nigerian who are tired of the endless blame game, empty promises, and recycled slogans that have brought our country no progress. Nigerians are no longer interested in speeches about what you will do in your first 100 days, claims about being the youngest candidate, or assurances that you will only serve four years. We have heard these lines for decades, and they have produced nothing but disappointment.
If you are truly serious about leading this country, then your actions must show it. Work with the 36 state governors and the 774 local governments to address the root causes of boko haram and other security challenges. Stop spending billions of naira on campaigns that do not improve the lives of 240 million Nigerian. Invest that money in farming and agriculture, where real jobs can be created and where poverty can be reduced.
Nigerians are watching politicians fight over tax money meant for job creation and debt repayment. It is shameful and painful to witness. At the same time, some CEOs claim that Nigerian youths are lazy, which is simply not true. Many companies refuse to pay fair wages or provide basic support like transportation, healthcare, or housing. These are the real barriers to productivity.
If you are not ready to prioritize the lives of 240 million Nigerians, to invest in jobs, to support practical skill development, and to work collaboratively across all levels of government, then please step aside. Do not come back with more slogans, more excuses, or more empty promises.
Nigerians deserve leaders who care, who act, and who are committed to real change.
Faithfully,
Concerned 240 million Nigerians struggling in hardship, poverty & darkness
