Urgent Concerns on National Hardship, Security, and Governance

Your Excellencies Esteemed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, 240 million Nigerians are writing as a deeply concerned Nigerian who are struggling to understand how the Presidency can enjoy uninterrupted electricity, free Wi‑Fi, and comfort since 2023 while over 240 million Nigerians continue to live in darkness, poverty, and insecurity. The contrast between the living conditions of the governing class and the governed has become too painful to ignore for decades

Every day,240 million Nigerians face worsening hardship. boko haram and other violent groups continue to kill innocent Nigerians, yet the response from the government appears slow, routine, and disconnected from the urgency of the crisis. 240 million Nigerians of us feel abandoned for decades

For decades, Nigerians have paid for electricity that never comes. You promised improved power supply in 2022/2023, but the reality today is even worse. Businesses are dying, families are suffering, and the nation is losing hope. Meanwhile, billions are spent on projects that do not address the root causes of our problems.

It is difficult to understand why our tax money is not being invested aggressively in farming, agriculture, and job creation — the very sectors that can reduce poverty, weaken extremist recruitment, and stabilize the country. Without tackling the root causes of insecurity, no military operation will ever be enough.

If your administration is serious about protecting 240 million Nigerians lives, then urgent action is needed now 5/16/2026, not in 2027. Work closely with all 36 governors and the 774 local governments to address unemployment, hunger, and lack of opportunity — the fuel that keeps boko haram alive.

We need real jobs, not slogans. We need practical education, not outdated systems. Consider abolishing NYSC and JAMB in their current forms and replacing them with skill‑based, practical training in technology, mechanics, plumbing, electrical work, and other trades that can give young Nigerians and graduates globally recognized certificates and real opportunities.

It is hard to recall a single decision in recent Nigerian history that has highlighted the gap between leaders and 240 million Nigerians more than the multi‑billion‑naira solar project at Aso Rock. While the Presidential Villa prepares to enjoy uninterrupted power, the rest of the nation remains in darkness.

Mr. President, respectfully Nigerians are not asking for luxury — only fairness, safety, and the basic dignity of electricity, jobs, and security. If these issues cannot be addressed with seriousness and urgency, then it becomes difficult to justify any conversation about re‑election in 2027.

We hope you will reflect deeply on these concerns and take decisive action for the sake of the nation and future generations.
