💙 Happy International Day of the Boy Child 💙

Today is a reminder that the kind of men we hope to see tomorrow depends greatly on the boys we choose to nurture today.

As we reflect on this year's focus — "Boys to Men: Adopting Good Habits and Attitudes" may we remember that the journey from boyhood to manhood is shaped not only by age but by guidance, values, protection, discipline, and emotional support.

Raising boys goes beyond providing food, shelter, and education. It also means teaching empathy, accountability, respect, emotional strength, and compassion. It means protecting them, listening to them, guiding them, and creating safe spaces where they can speak without fear or shame.

Good habits are taught.
Healthy attitudes are nurtured.
Responsible men are raised intentionally.

Just because boys do not always express pain openly does not mean they are not hurting. Their emotional wellbeing matters too.

Too often, society teaches boys to suppress emotions and remain silent about pain or abuse. But silence is not strength, and hidden wounds still hurt.

If we truly want to raise gentlemen worthy of commendation, then we must first raise boys who feel seen, heard, protected, respected, and loved.

· A protected boy grows into a healthier man.
· A listened-to boy grows into a wiser man.
· A supported boy grows into a responsible man.

Today, we celebrate every boy with dreams, potential, and a voice that deserves to be heard.

And to all the grown men on this platform — we celebrate you too:

The men striving every day.
The men carrying responsibilities silently.
The men healing from battles they rarely speak about.
The men choosing growth, peace, accountability, and humanity despite life's pressures.

May we continue to build a society where boys are protected, and men are allowed to heal too. 💙
