Respectfully the debate on unemployable 240 million Nigerian youths' graduates with all due respect misses the real problem
The phrase Nigerian graduates are unemployable is misleading and unfair. Most Nigerian graduates are not intellectually incapable — they are products of a system that has failed to equip them with the tools needed for a modern economy. Calling them incapable is disrespectful and ignores the deeper structural failures that created this crisis.

If Nigeria truly wants to solve unemployment, the government, opposition parties, and independent actors must stop the blame game and fix the root causes. We cannot keep spending billions on political campaigns while ignoring job creation, education reform, and the economic conditions that fuel insecurity, including Boko Haram.

Invest in agriculture, manufacturing, and technology. Make practical education accessible across all 36 states and 774 LGAs. If Nigeria invests seriously in farming and agro‑tech alone, millions of youths would have meaningful work.
