How can the debts be paid? stop new debt first

Enforce cost-reflective tariffs with protection for the 240 million Nigerians paying light bills for decades still in poverty & darkness. If electricity is sold below its real cost, debt will keep growing.

Targeted subsidies, not blanket ones:
Government supports only 240 million Nigerians, not the elites and the 4 richest Nigerian billionaires in Africa

Restructure existing debts

Renegotiate with banks and investors:
Extend tenors, lower interest, convert some debt to equity.

Use part of recovered funds and oil/gas revenue:
Not to pay everything, but to reduce the worst parts of the debt pile.

Improve collections

Mass metering:
No more estimated billing—if you don’t measure, you can’t collect.

Crack down on energy theft Illegal connections and bypassed meters are silent killers of revenue. Jail them recover the money upload their photos on the global internet if the Nigerians courts refuse to prosecute them when found guilty 195 countries will do the job for them make sure criminals do not vanish also seize their passport. They can runaway to African continents which are corrupt unfortunately no country is perfect Nigeria must do better
