FC Metz player Tahirys Dos Santos and his girlfriend Coline made their first public appearance since surviving the devastating nightclub fire during New Year's Even in Switzerland that killed 40 people and injured more than 100.

Dos Santos had escaped the blaze, but went back inside after realising his girlfriend was still trapped and looked for her. Both suffered serious burns, but both survived thanks to his brave actions.

The couple arrived hand in hand to the UNFP Awards as guests of honor.
