Your Excellencies, Distinguished Opposition Leaders, Independent Candidates, and Esteemed Members of Nigeria’s Political and Economic Elite, 240 million Nigerians write to you with a deep sense of urgency and responsibility, reflecting the frustration and hardship felt by millions of Nigerians across the country. At a time when our nation faces profound challenges, it is critical that those entrusted with leadership and influence focus on the issues that truly matter to the 240 million Nigerians who depend on your decisions.

Nigeria cannot continue on a path where public funds are spent on overseas medical trips, foreign education for families of public officials, endless political interviews, and costly campaign activities. These expenditures do not address the root causes of our national struggles. Instead, they widen the gap between leadership and 240 million Nigerians

The priorities must shift toward:

Creating sustainable jobs for 240 million of unemployed youths and graduates

Providing free and accessible healthcare, housing, and education

Investing heavily in agriculture to achieve food security and reduce import dependence

Addressing the root causes of insecurity, including the long-standing issues that gave rise to boko haram, a group responsible for severe harm and human rights violations

Ensuring that taxpayer money is used transparently and responsibly

The current crisis involving thousands of PTA part-time teachers in Federal Unity Colleges is a clear example of systemic neglect. These teachers—who have dedicated decades of service under poor conditions—have now withdrawn from academic activities due to the Federal Government’s prolonged delay in regularizing their appointments and improving their welfare. Their industrial action is spreading nationwide, disrupting learning and placing the future of countless students our children and next generations at risk.

This situation is not just a labor issue; it is a reflection of deeper structural failures that require immediate and sincere intervention.

Nigeria’s leaders—across all parties, ideologies, and wealth classes—must rise above personal interests and commit to building a nation where public institutions work, where teachers are valued, where children can learn in stable environments, and where 240 million Nigerians no longer feel abandoned.

The time for transformational leadership is now 5/15/2026. The global world is watching Nigerian leaders for decades, and history will remember those who chose to act now 5/15/2026
