Your Excellencies 240 million Nigerians are writing to formally request a thorough investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) into the federal projects allocated to Bende Local Government Area.
There is growing public concern regarding abandoned or incomplete projects, unclear financial accountability, and allegations of mismanagement. Nigerians are increasingly frustrated by repeated reports without concrete outcomes. 240 million Nigerians deserve to know:
Where the allocated funds for these projects are
Who was responsible for managing and executing the projects
Why the projects remain abandoned despite budgetary provisions
If any individuals—public officials, contractors, or private actors—are found to have diverted funds or engaged in corrupt practices, they should be prosecuted in accordance with Nigerian law. This includes recovery of misappropriated funds, seizure of travel documents where appropriate, and full legal proceedings against all involved parties.
The EFCC has a critical role in restoring public trust. A transparent investigation into the Bende federal projects will demonstrate commitment to accountability and ensure that public resources serve the people they were intended for.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We trust that the Commission will act promptly and decisively.
Faithfully,
