Your Excellency Sir, 240 million Nigerians are writing in response to your recent account of being denied entry into South Africa due to an expired visa, while other travelers reportedly entered without the same requirement. Your experience reflects a deeper issue that 240 million Nigerians face globally for decades using a Nigerian passport not sure why you are complaining sir with all due respect

Nigeria was once regarded as the giant of Africa, and Nigerians continue to be respected worldwide for their skills, talent, and excellence in education, sports, entertainment, and business. Unfortunately, the failures of successive governments, institutions, and judicial systems have damaged our global reputation. As a result, ordinary Nigerians often bear the consequences when travelling or seeking opportunities abroad.

The ongoing insecurity, including the continued killings by boko haram and other violent groups, has further contributed to negative perceptions. Until these issues are addressed at the root, many countries will continue to treat Nigerians with suspicion or deny entry altogether.

This is why the role of Nigeria’s elite, including influential leaders like yourself, is so important. True change requires collective action from those with the resources, influence, and platforms to rebuild the nation. Instead of seeking opportunities abroad, we need more investment, collaboration, and commitment to fixing Nigeria from within. Only then can we restore our dignity and ensure that Nigerians are treated with the respect they deserve globally.

Thank you for your time, and we hope your experience inspires renewed focus on rebuilding our nation Nigeria now 5/15/2026 no lies no slogans this is a humble request

Faithfully,
Concerned 240 million Nigerians suffering in poverty & darkness
