New "Marvel vs DC" artwork by iconic artist Alex Ross.

This summer, DC Comics and Marvel Comics are bringing back the landmark 2003-2004 "JLA/Avengers" crossover by Kurt Busiek and George Pérez as a series of facsimile edition comic books.

The Ross artwork is part of a two-piece connecting image created specifically for these facsimile editions, paying tribute to George Pérez’s stunning cover for "Comics Interview Special Edition #6" from 1983.

Marvel will publish the first half of JLA/Avengers #3 in July, spotlighting the Avengers, while DC will release the second half of Avengers/JLA #4, featuring the Justice League. When placed together, the covers form a full face-off between the two iconic teams.
