Man had always wondered how he can defeat death or at least aging.
While many molecular scientists have been researching for decades on how to halt or even reverse aging, and in the process prolong lifespan considerably, there are scientists who are very optimistic that someday science will not only find a cure for diseases but also reverse aging.

This gave birth to cryonics, where entire people are promptly frozen at temperatures as low as -196°C after death with the aim of defrosting them at any time in future a cure for the disease(s) that caused their death is found.
And so in 1976, Robert Ettinger, a college physics and mathematics teacher founded the Cryonics Institute near Detroit, Michigan and convinced more than 100 people to subscribe for the service.

At a princely sum of $28,000 on death their bodies were preserved in liquid nitrogen in large containers. His mother who died in 1977 was among the first to be preserved; later his two wives joined. Robert himself joined them in 2011 on his death at 92.

The 'business' has caught up and today there are several cryonics facilities, some charging as much as $300,00 for the service housing over 250 bodies in cryopreservations. Of course over 1,500 clients have lined up for the service when their death occurs. Well, as we say in Naija "eba sweet o; who wan die no matter the suffering."

Only time will tell whether science will ever advance to that stage of reviving the dead and reversing aging in the near future, or ever even. And whether such revived bodies will still recall/retain their minds and identity they had just before death.
