Respectfully strengthening national security through root‑cause solutions and improved operational capacity. We have been demanding for these for decades why are the leaders not listening to 240 million Nigerian needs the global world have been watching Nigerian leaders for decades kindly do the needful now 5/14/2026

Your Excellencies President Tinubu, opposition parties, independent candidates, 240 million Nigerians are writing to you as a concerned Nigerians who believes deeply in the urgent need to strengthen our nation’s security architecture and rebuild public trust in law‑enforcement institutions. While recent reforms — including the creation of units such as the Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU) — are steps in the right direction, they cannot succeed without addressing the deeper systemic issues that continue to fuel insecurity across the federation.

For decades, Nigerians have lived under the fear of violent crimes, kidnapping, terrorism, cultism, armed robbery, and the activities of boko haram and other extremist groups. These groups have caused immeasurable loss of life and suffering since the early 2000s. 240 million Nigerians feel unprotected, unheard, and disconnected from the institutions meant to safeguard them.

Sirs with all due respect, the truth is that insecurity persists because the root causes have not been fully addressed. 240 million of young Nigerians remain unemployed. Basic infrastructure — electricity, roads, healthcare, education, and digital access — remains inadequate. Corruption continues to weaken institutions, drain public resources, and erode confidence in government at all levels.

No policing reform can succeed if these underlying issues remain unresolved.

We respectfully urge your office to champion a more holistic national security strategy that includes:

Strengthening operational capacity of police units through training, equipment, accountability, and community‑based policing.

Collaborating with state governments and local governments to create jobs, especially in agriculture, technology, and manufacturing.

Supporting anti‑corruption reforms that ensure public funds are used for public good.

Improving transparency and oversight of tactical units to rebuild trust between 240 million Nigerians and security agencies.

Advocating for justice for families affected by terrorism, police abuses, and violent crimes since 1999.

Promoting inter‑agency cooperation so that the Police, Military, DSS, EFCC, and other institutions work as partners, not rivals.

Nigeria cannot afford another cycle of promises without visible progress. We cannot wait for another election cycle before addressing the urgent needs of over 240 million Nigerians. Security is not a political slogan — it is a national responsibility.

Sirs, we appeal to your leadership, your conscience respectfully, and your commitment to love Nigeria and care for Nigerian lives. If we do not fix the root causes of insecurity now 5/14/2026, we risk repeating the same failures in 2027 and beyond. Nigerians deserve safety, dignity, and opportunity today — not in another four years of lies, slogans and decades of failed promises

Thank you for your attention. We hope your office will take bold, practical steps that will restore confidence in our security institutions and move our nation toward lasting peace.

Yours faithfully,
Concerned 240 million Nigerians suffering in poverty & darkness
