Don Jazzy, founder of Mavin Records, said he realised Ayra Starr was destined for stardom as soon as he first heard her.

“It didn’t take one minute,” he said.

According to him, he saw multiple covers of Ayra Starr singing “2Face’s,” which particularly stood out to him.

“At the time that she came into the game, you could tell that a new character had been unlocked that we had never seen before,” he added.
