Respectfully 240 million Nigerians are writing to express deep concern over the recent disqualification of a large number of Rivers State House of Assembly aspirants, particularly those reportedly aligned with Governor Siminalayi Fubara. Public reports indicate that most aspirants cleared were aligned with former Governor Nyesom Wike, raising serious questions about fairness, neutrality, and the integrity of internal political processes.

Nigeria is a constitutional democracy, not a monarchy. No individual—regardless of political influence—should act as both judge and jury in matters that affect 240 million of Nigerians. Public office holders serve the Nigerian people, and their authority must always be exercised within the bounds of law, transparency, and accountability.

Nigeria cannot progress if political processes are influenced by personal interests rather than justice and fairness. The courts must act decisively to restore public confidence and ensure that no individual, regardless of status, can unilaterally shape outcomes for personal advantage.
