A 27-year-old Nigerian scholar, Dr. Ayomide Alokun, has sparked reactions online after protesting in Abuja over unemployment despite holding a BSc and MSc in Political Science, as well as a PhD in International Relations.

He also revealed that he received national recognition during the COVID-19 pandemic for his humanitarian service as a corps member.

The incident has renewed concerns about rising unemployment and the struggles faced by many educated youths in Nigeria.
