Series 1/3 — Childhood Conditioning

Growing up in Nigeria, especially from a humble background, I honestly did not know anything about money working for you.

What we knew was simple:
Work for money.
Spend money.
Repeat the process.

Nobody really talked about investments, assets, passive income, or ownership.

Money was survival.
Not strategy.

And honestly?
Many of us are still carrying that mindset into adulthood.

We were taught how to hustle…
but not always how to build wealth.

And let’s be real;
did you grow up talking about money at the dinner table?

That is… if you even had a dinner table, because we didn’t.

Most conversations were about survival, not financial literacy.

Maybe it’s time for this generation to change that.
