Multiple reputable sources confirm that JAMB has officially exempted candidates seeking admission into Education programmes and Agriculture-related non‑engineering courses from writing the UTME.

What the new policy means education programmes e.g., NCE, B.Ed no longer require UTME.

Agriculture non‑engineering and non‑technology ND courses are also exempt.

Candidates must still register with JAMB, and their credentials will be screened and verified through CAPS before admission.

Minimum requirement: at least four SSCE credits, depending on the institution.

Policy takes effect from the 2026/2027 admission cycle.
